 From edubreak®CAMPUS to edubreak®COMMUNITY to the Social Video Board – here you’ll find concise explanations of all the core edubreak® products and features, so you can find your way around quickly.

Blended-Learning

Blended-learning courses on edubreak®CAMPUS combine synchronous and asynchronous phases, supported by a set of dedicated tools:
  • Asynchronous learning: working through all task types (writing blog posts and comments, for example), using the Social Video Player for video commenting and reflection.
  • Asynchronous teaching: creating and reviewing tasks, giving feedback, exchanging via the Social Video Player.
  • Synchronous teaching and learning: live exchange and instruction in online meetings via edubreak®dialog.

edubreak® Coach

edubreak® Coach is the AI assistant built into edubreak®CAMPUS, designed to cut down time-consuming tasks and noticeably lighten the load for instructors. It has three components:
  • Task Sparring: creates pedagogically sound tasks and checks their quality against didactic principles. The Coach reviews tasks directly in the editor, gives structured feedback on quality criteria, and can revise tasks on request.
  • Course Designer: supports pedagogical course planning and helps build entire courses with AI assistance. Through a structured dialogue with the course instructor, it helps at every stage of course creation – target audience, practical competencies, learning formats, timeline.
  • Campus Guide: provides technical support around edubreak® for all users, answering context-sensitive questions about how to use the platform directly within edubreak® Coach.
  • Feedback Assistant: Supports instructors in guiding student learning, particularly when providing written feedback.

edubreak® Competency Matrix

The edubreak® Competency Matrix maps out competency areas and forms the basis for individual learning journeys within edubreak®.

edubreak® Learning Analytics

edubreak® Learning Analytics provides quantitative figures for the current campus year, alongside qualitative metrics with comparisons and evaluations spanning multiple campus years – the foundation for optimising education programmes based on data.

edubreak® Learning Marketplace

The edubreak® Learning Marketplace lets organisations publish their own courses and bring in courses from outside their organisation.

edubreak®dialog

edubreak®dialog enables online meetings and webinars as part of a course. Dialogues can also take place outside of courses or groups, including access for external participants. It additionally supports private dialogues visible only to their creators.

edubreak®match

edubreak®match is a tool for online quizzes built directly into the Social Video Player. It allows single-choice, multiple-choice and click questions to be added directly within a video, along with timing-based questions.

Learning Cockpit

The Learning Cockpit gives campus managers and instructors a cross-campus overview of all course memberships – both active and archived courses are shown – along with the option to download all available certificates.

Learning Experience Platform (LXP)

As an overarching learning ecosystem, edubreak® is a Learning Experience Platform (LXP) that brings together edubreak®CAMPUS (learn), edubreak®COMMUNITY (connect) and edubreak®ACADEMY (grow) under one roof. As an LXP, edubreak® supports holistic learning experiences – from formal formats across every licence level through to informal exchange – enables cross-organisational, bookable education offerings, individual learning journeys based on each learner’s competency matrix, and the optimisation of education programmes through learning analytics. → See also: Learning Management System (LMS), edubreak® Competency Matrix, edubreak® Learning Analytics

Learning Management System (LMS)

As a Learning Management System (LMS), edubreak®CAMPUS is the component used to plan, deliver and manage education and training programmes digitally. This includes:
  • Content management (course content, videos, documents)
  • User management
  • Tracking of learning progress
  • Communication (direct messages, course news)

Self Learning

Self Learning refers to self-directed learning as part of independent study, with optional exchange with the relevant course instructor via Social Video and task feedback.

Social Video Board

The Social Video Board is an interactive whiteboard built into edubreak®CAMPUS (similar to Miro), designed for both individual and collaborative digital work. It lets you bring together artefacts from your courses – videos, individual video comments, documents or blog posts – on a shared virtual canvas. It supports reflection, competency development and collaborative learning through tools such as drawing elements, shapes and posts. More information: edubreak.de/en/social-video-board.

Social Video Player

The Social Video Player is at the heart of edubreak® as a learning ecosystem and sits at the centre of every product: within CAMPUS it serves as a tool for collaborative video annotation and analysis, and within COMMUNITY as a video-based exchange feature. Its core capabilities include:

  • Video comments (and reply comments)
  • Audio comments
  • A toolset for in-video annotation (freehand drawing, shapes, arrows, colour settings)
  • Split screen (linking and synchronously playing two video perspectives)
  • AI features (automatic subtitles including translation, generated summaries, generated chapters, transcripts of audio comments)
